As a freelance programmer and an only person managing quite a few sites on my own, i can definately tell you how painful it really is to decide and choose which webhost to choose and how. I mean there are so many factors involved. And i recently came to realise the ordeal of managing the sites when my host server went through a hacking attempt, twice. The webhosting server which i thought was best for my needs, it failed me, yet again. It took me many a days to actually sort through it completely, but that ended up making me think again about making a move from my host to another. But then the next problem was to make that reasonable choice. With the number of hosts growing larger and larger everyday, it didnt help me to just do a google for a ‘best web host’.

Then i came across this website that gave me superb info on web hosting rating and web hosting tutorials . Here the thing i liked the most was the reviews, by real people. Who has probably went through the crisis that I did, and from their reviews I think I was able to manage the make an informed and intelligent decision which was probably good for me and my herd of sites, according to my requirements and my budget. Another good feture I liked was the Web Hosting Awards section in the site. Which most certainly had the neatly compiled list of the webhosting sites with appropriate recognition.

At the end of the day, I ended up choosing hostgator as my new host, thanks to webhostingrating.com and now in the process of making the move.

With all the tutorials all around, at first I thought it was a very easy job.

well it actually proved to be otherwise when I thought about making the xHTML standards compliant.
The methods that made the whole thing work, didn’t comply with the standards. it always failed the test. And the methods those passed the test, didn’t work within wordpress theme, or proved to be way too complicated to work with.

I mean, take a look at most usable methods..

And then I came upon this easiest method. Which works in all browsers that I have checked. And its also standards compliant.
